xoxoxo

Here's another picture that I forgot to include in my last post. Also taken at pride. My lovely friends Jason, Scott and I. See my shoes?? I made my sister take this picture because the bridge matched those shoes lol.

Did some Christmas shopping with my sisters the other day. I figured getting everything out of the way earlier is the way to go. I don't want to be a last minute shopper. I found almost everything I needed, everything else can be ordered online lol! Afterwards, my dad decided to treat the family to good ol Steak and Shake. Love that place...well just the milkshakes! This is my outfit of the day !

show your PRIDE..

Hola!! Last week, a few buddies and I went to Downtown Orlando for PRIDE. The drinks were flowing and the people were the best! I met some beautiful ladies too. I'm a curious gal ;)

The flags were everywhere. On every building and pole!
Our feet...well as my friend Scott said "I was going for a crotch shot" lol
Kelli, Me, and the infamous sister Nina :)

Aren't we preeeettttyyyy. I love the fountain in the background. At night it was lit up with all the colors of the rainbow. Lake Eola is BEAUTIFUL. Swans swim gracefully and even come up to people to get their food lol. I love it down here and would love to move downtown!

I'll be in the beyond section, ask for me!

I am SO excited to tell everyone the great news! I GOT A NEW JOBBY JOB! I haven't worked in a very long time, was too busy with school and taking care of the kids, but since i'm still working on getting my boards, I needed a part time job and FAST! While shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond, I bumped into my old manager who's now working at the BB&B closer to my house. I asked him if they were willing to re-hire me, since I worked there before I had Kaley, and two days later i'm hired! I'm ecstatic! I know it's nothing too fancy, but it will definitely help pay the bills. I went from having no license, no high school diploma and no job to having all of that in just a matter of months! I guess when you really set your mind to something, things start to happen. This couldn't have come at a better time since Christmas is just around the corner. Maybe by next year i'll have my own place :)

*In my Britney voice* Wish me luck ya'll!

They say the dead can walk the earth tonight..

Here are a few more pictures to enjoy from Halloween.
Starting off with us going in on the candy, even my sister's dog !

This picture was actually taken a few days before at a pumpkin patch. They were absolute dolls that day!

Full shot of my costume

Bloody dead person is my little sister Ariel, Scary Eagles fan back there is my mom, Snow white is Lee, and of course SpiderMan is K! This is my favorite time of year, so if you're around me, YOU HAVE to get dressed up.

Don't be a trick, give me yo treats!

How was everyone's Halloween? Did you get tons of candy? I know we sure as hell did. 3 big ol bags that'll probably last for a few weeks..who am I kidding? The chocolate is almost gone lol! Let's get right into my post. As you can see, my costume was the Black Swan. Awesome movie. Awesome costume! The best part is that I put it together myself. All I had to buy was the makeup, feathers, gems, and tutu. I think it's so much fun making your own costume. Shows creativity!

The Saturday before Halloween, my sister and I decided to get together with a bunch of friends to celebrate in Downtown Orlando. It was a very good night. Even though we left earlier then expected. Nina's feet hurt lol.

^ This is Jason..one of the best guys I have ever known! Love him to death! And the crazy one with the tongue out back there is Jenn lol

sppppoookk ya!

The weather here in FL has been MARVVVEELLLOOUUSS! Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. I know it won't last too long, but i'm gonna enjoy the shit while I can! That witch scarecrow is my split personality lol! That witch only cost 4.99 at Michaels! What a steal! As you can see we are in the process of spooking our house up for Halloween :) My favorite time of year!

Oh, she's preeetttyyy

I tried my hand at yet another outfit, not too sure how I really liked this one, but I still felt like a million bucks..Especially since while I was at the grocery store, an 8 yr old girl called me beautiful and pretty. Then kept telling her mom how pretty my shoes were. Even though the compliment was from a litttle girl, I still felt good about it. Making 8 yr olds envious one day at a time..ohh yeaahh ;)

Kind of a weird pose, with my chicken legs haha but whatever!

What's cookin', good lookin'?

The other night, I wanted to make a cheap, easy, quick dinner for the family and myself. I figured you can never go wrong with Chicken and Steak Quesadillas with a side of spanish rice, black beans and corn! Yum!!
First get all your ingredients together. Since I wanted a quick way to make this, I bought already cooked chicken and steak strips and instant spanish rice. You'll also need: 1 green pepper, 1 onion, flour tortillas, can of black beans, and mexican blend shredded cheese. Oh, and a tomato :)
Now, chop up the onion, tomato, and green pepper
While you're chopping away, start to cook the chicken and steak strips in saute pans over medium heat. Also, there's not a picture here, but cook the rice according to the package, and put the black beans in a sauce pan, season with whatever you like (I used adobo, garlic powder and a bit of pepper) and let warm up for at least 10 minutes.
When that's all done, take a torilla, add cheese, peppers, onion, meat and tomato, top with another tortilla and cook in pan on medium-high heat. Flip the quesadilla after 3-5 minutes to cook other side. Remove from heat and repeat with others.

Serve with the rice, corn and black beans and VOILA! yummmmaayyyy! If you're like me, I eventually mixed my rice with the beans and corn. As you can see, I was running low on tortillas so i used one tortilla and made it kind of like what you would do with an omelet. Lastly, SHOVE YOUR FACE! EMBRACE YOUR INNER FOOD LOVER!

I HAVE BEEN TAGGED!!

One of my loves, and fellow blogger, tagged me in a 7 things about you thingy mabob. So here I go. Even though I feel 7 is not enough lol!

1. You may not be able to tell from my pictures, but i'm hispanic. Both my parents, grandparents, and so on are from Puerto Rico. The sad part of this is I don't speak spanish very well. Un poquito. See I'm not even sure if I spelled that right! That's okay though, i'm slowly teaching myself and telling myself that my parents just didn't want us to know what they were talking about, so English it was.

2. I tend to be a geek at times. I'm into a lot of Sci fi and paranormal stuff. I'm a HUGE fan of Star Wars and I think every creak and bump in the night is a ghost lol.

3. I'm a Gemini :) I don't understand how most people refuse to believe astronomy. My sign pretty much fits me perfectly. Some believe the Gemini is two faced, NO. To me it means split personalities. My mood swings are no joke. Lord have mercy!

4. Religion is a very iffy subject to me. I do have faith and believe in a higher power, but i'm not sure WHAT or WHO that higher power is. I also believe that prayer is strong, but to me it's more of a comfort thing. I'm just not sure what really is going to happen when we die. Do we reach the pearly gates of heaven or do we simply evolve into something better?? At times, I question it and tend to lean more on the science side of things.

5.When I decided to go back to school, I went down the medical field path. Don't get me wrong, it was good choice, but sometimes I wish I could go to culinary school. I love to cook and try to liven up recipes, and I love baking ESPECIALLY anything chocolate lol. There is something joyful about being in the kitchen and creating a wonderful meal for the family. Even a meal for yourself :)

6. I have two little girls who make my world go round. I couldn't ever picture my life without them. On my worst days, they have this ability to shine a light on it and make it better. The more they grow, the more I see myself in them. K is a tomboy and likes the things I like, and even has the same temper. Lee has this "i'm a princess" demeanor about her, and I can't help but see my girly side come out in her. Like all children, they have their days..and for all you mothers, you know what "days" i'm talking about lol, but it doesn't make me love them any less. It just builds me up to be a better mother.

7. I am an ANIMAL LOVER!!! I have a 3 legged Siberian Husky, who I treat like she's my child. She can be a pain in the booty, and sometimes I feel like putting her on "bad dog" on Animal Planet, but I could never get rid of her. I didn't rescue her, she rescued me. IDK I feel as if dogs have this ability to sense their masters feelings, and she has been a very loving dog on the nights where i'd cry myself to sleep.

Singing in the rain..

Had a little shopping day with my little sister, and decided to wear something that I feel is more my style. It was raining..of course..all day..again, So I didn't want to do it up too much. I did realise today that I LOVE driving with heels on...I can reach the pedals better lol!

Good Morning! It's such a rainy crappy day today. I'm debating if I even want to venture out in it. If I do, i'm definitely not even going to dress up. But, just a quick little post on some things I bought not too long ago, and wanted to share with you :)

I needed a lotion that was going to really moisturize my skin and that was affordable. Vaseline total moisture conditioning lotion is an ok product. Isn't my favorite, but it gets the job done. I recently got all my dead ends chopped off and am focused on keeping my hair as healthy as possible. Since I straighten my hair alot (which is a big cause to hair destruction) I bought Frizz Ease straight fixation. It works great and smells good too! Last but definitely not least is a product for my natural curly hair. Normally, I just use mouse, but it tends to leave my hair hard and crispy which is something I HATE! Curly Sexy Hair curling creme is awesome. It smells good, and just a little bit helps maintain the frizz and keep the curls in tact. Was a little bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it.

Aren't these earrings gorgeous?? I found them on sale at Beals. Originally 20.00, I got them for about 6. If you can't tell they're peacocks with light pink and white rhinestones in the tail.

Darth Vader? Where?

Good morning fine folks! Let's get this post started! This past Sunday was K's 6th birthday. Let's read that again...6TH BIRTHDAY! I can't believe how time flies. It feels like just yesterday she was taking her first steps. Now she's in school and is her own little person. Makes me want to cry. *sigh* Anyway! AS you can see, the party was star wars themed. She had NO idea I was throwing this party. The look on her face when she walked through the door was priceless. Unfortunately, no one got a good shot of that on their camera :( It was a very fun filled day with cake, ice cream, music, presents, games and even a pinata this time..which couldn't even handle 3 hits before it broke open lol. Such a great day!

missing teeth and lady shoes ;)

GUESS WHAT! K lost her first tooth last night! It came as a complete surprise. I knew it was a little loose, but I didn't think it would come out that fast! She was happy then scared when she saw the blood, but she got over it quickly once I told her she's turning into a big girl! We sat down and drew a picture for the tooth fairy, and put the tooth and the picture in an envelope under the pillow. The "tooth fairy" must have loved it because she left K a dollar ;) Look at her big goofy smile!

In other news, I'm still feeling under the weather, and this cough can go to hell!!! TO HELL! But, I did say i'd post the shoes I bought this past weekend. I can never pass up a good sale and Payless had their BOGO shindig going on and mommy likes BOGO :)

I am IN love with these gray suede shoes. They were only 24.99! The flats are called the "popstar" i'm not gonna lie, the saleslady talked me into them lol. They were half off so what the hay!

It's just another dayyyyyy

I recently came into a little bit of money, and it's been A WHILE since I've indulged in some shopping. My sister and I decided to sneak away for a few hours to the mall! I have a nasty cold right now, so i'm not going to get into to much details, but here are a few pictures of my recent purchases :),mb

A closer look at my make-up. Don't mind the small breakouts, it's hot in Florida!
The girls and I went to the library as well today. I always say the younger you get them into books, the better! But anywho, this is my outfit for the day..chu like? See all that dead grass ruining my damn picture!

I had such a hard time figuring out what earrings to get. I must have picked up thousands of different styles, but the wings stood out to me. I can't wait to get my jewelry box full of funky acccesories!

Wing earrings-Payless! Buy one get 50% off!

I'll post my shoes and new hat tomorrow, but for now I need to get some sleep to help nurse this cold!

Cool for school!

Howdy ya'll! GUESS WHAT! I FINALLY got my license. I know what you're thinking, "you're 23 and still cant drive?" yeaaahh, well things kind of happened and ya know, it got pushed to the bottom of my to do list. But, now i'm on a roll, driving everywhere, having a gay ol time! SO I advise you to stay off the roads..and sidewalk :)

This past Monday was my daughter Karessa's first day of Kindergarten! I can't even begin to tell you how nervous and excited I was. While walking her to her class she told me "you better not cry mommy" lol. I did anyways, as soon as she walked into the class. I sat in the car for about 5 minutes to take all my emotions in. She's growing up so fast! I contemplated going back to the school and sneaking around to see what she was doing, but apparently that's not allowed lol. When she came home, she was all smiles and giggles, going on and on about the friends she made. I'm soooo happy that she loves school! I hope it forever stays that way! Karessa is the biggest tomboy you'll ever meet. She's all about boy stuff and superheroes..wonder where she gets it from *looks at her action figure/comic book collection* oh yeah, ME! That's why I was surprised when she gave me no trouble putting on a pink shirt. As long as she had her spider man lunchbox, she didn't care what she was wearing. I'm home with Kaley now, and it's a lot easier during the day with just one kid, a lot quieter too! I'm so proud of my little girl! If she one day reads this..I LOVE YOU K!!!! MWAH MWAH MWAH! :)

Beach and cake!

Good morning!! It's such a beautiful Friday morning, and i'm feeling good so why not update? Last month was our beach vacation and Kaley's 3rd bday! Time sure knows how to fly by. Any who, we spent a weekend at Daytona Beach. A simple, quick get away, since we only live about 30 mins away. It was probably the best vacation I've had in a long time. We spent hours on the beach, hours playing in the boardwalk's arcades, and ate yummy food..you know i'm a sucker for food, especially those boardwalk fries! *daydreams and drools*....sorry

I honestly don't know where Karessa gets her silly side..ok, well maybe I do lol

Shortly after our beach trip was Lee's birthday. I have this obsession with making birthday cakes instead of going out to a bakery, and getting the typical HAPPY BIRTHDAY *insert favorite character* Lee is into ballerinas, but after looking almost everywhere for what I wanted, I gave up and decided to do her second favorite, Princesses! I'm proud of my little cake, and I know she loved it too. Did I mention how tasty it was? No? Well..mmmmmmm!

My princess. She wouldn't look at the camera, too distracted lol

New idea!

I keep forgetting that I have this here blog. The other day I decided to do something new with it. Along with sharing my story about moving on up, it'll also be a mommy blog. Being a single mom of 2 kids is hard, but of course, exhilarating and fun. I'll be updating with stories of my girls and our life, fashion( for the mommy on a budget), foods..blah blah, you get the point. Once I figure out how to change the design on this thing, we'll be in business! I hope you'll enjoy and this time I PROMISE I won't forget about running this thing :)

Until then..

I've neglected you again.

I finally did it. After months of giving in, I broke the cycle. No longer will I ever waste a single tear on any man. My kids and myself are what's important. No more feeling embarrassed or afraid. I know what I want. Tomorrow, i'm going to chop my hair off. New look, new me.

..Anyways,

Last Tuesday, my sister and I decided to go out with my friend Jason and his husband to a gay night club called Pulse. It wasn't one of their crowded nights, but I had fun. The drinks were just as I like em, STRONG! The music was..well..tolerable, and the people I met were gorgeous! My sister entered their talent contest, but lost to someone with the talent of lip synching. It was still a night to keep in the memory box though :)

Moving on up

Happy Memorial day! It's been some time since i've posted anything on this sucker. Soo let's get into it.

I've been on a pursuit of happiness these past couple months, finding myself and where I belong basically, and today something great happened. I was surprised with a late birthday gift, a new car. Well, technically, it's a used car, but still new to me! 2001 Chevy Malibu. Hey, it beats driving that ol soccer mom van! Now I have a car with AIR CONDITIONING! GO me! Just one step in my life that I can skip over.

late night impulse

After watching some make up tutorials by the one and only, Dulce Candy, I decided to really stay true to this new goal of a new me. She kept mentioning the 88 matte palette coastal scents and I must say I LOVED all the colors and the finished look! I thought to myself "why not"? I barely buy anything for myself lately, so I followed her directions and ordered one off of ebay brand new! Only 19.90 with free shipping, but I know it'll be totally worth it. When I see that ups guy pull up in a few days, I will do the running man out of happiness! I PROMISE I will post plenty of pictures with different looks. Stay tunnneeedddd

xoxo

It's a new day...

Finally, I've decided to make a blog! I needed personal space to vent, share and be all around awesome ;) Recently, i've made some change to my life and i'm beginning a new journey, it'll be quite a joy to share it with my followers.  On here I plan to post everything, fashion, randomness and A LOT of pictures of my girls and myself.  I promise to post whenever possible!

xoxo
